Alexandra V. Sallas is an attorney practicing in Personal Injury, Family Law, and Criminal Defense, with a consistent record of strong, dependable results for her clients. Alex earned her Juris Doctor from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law after graduating from Troy University. During law school, she held several leadership roles, serving as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, a representative on the Curriculum Committee, and the Interscholastic Chair of the Advocacy Program. She also competed on the Board of Advocates Trial Team, participating in multiple nationally recognized trial advocacy competitions and advancing to the final rounds in several of them.

Ben was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. After graduating from high school, he came to Montgomery, Alabama on an athletic scholarship for baseball at Huntingdon College. He later attended Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, graduating in 2001 with a Juris Doctor degree. He began his legal career as an Assistant Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery County Alabama.

Ben was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. After graduating from high school, he came to Montgomery, Alabama on an athletic scholarship for baseball at Huntingdon College. He later attended Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, graduating in 2001 with a Juris Doctor degree. He began his legal career as an Assistant Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery County Alabama.


In 2004, Ben became a founding partner in Barfoot & Schoettker, L.L.C. In 2007, Ben began serving as a Temporary Probate Judge in Montgomery County Alabama, a privilege he still maintains today. He served as President of both the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association.


Ben is an experienced trial lawyer. He has handled numerous jury trials in the State of Alabama in both State and Federal Court. A few of his successes include verdicts of not guilty in trials involving murder, robbery, theft of property, fraudulent use of a credit card, domestic violence, harassment, reckless endangerment, menacing, driving under the influence, as well as many others. Ben also litigates personal injury cases were he has been successful in obtaining awards for people who have suffered injury due to the negligence of others.


Ben is also an experienced negotiator, able to resolve cases without a trial when appropriate. His skill in negotiating on behalf of his clients has resulted in numerous criminal matters being dismissed by the prosecution and obtaining monetary settlements for his civil clients. He is a compassionate counselor that works to understand his clients legal battles and resolve them.


Ben is married to Kimberly McWhorter and a proud father of their oldest daughter Neva Marie, son Samuel Benjamin and youngest daughter Clara Kae. He and his family are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church and currently serve in the children’s ministry. He enjoys fly fishing and turkey hunting as hobbies.

Alex’s work has been recognized both locally and nationally. She was honored as a Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers Association, and was recently selected for centralALINC!’s 2024 "40 Under 40" edition.


She is also active within the Montgomery legal community. Alex serves on the Executive Board of the Montgomery County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and will hold the position of Treasurer for the 2025–2026 term. She is a member of the CJA Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, representing indigent defendants in federal cases, and volunteers with the court’s Pro Se Assistance Program.


Outside the office, Alex enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
