Our firm consists of two attorneys, Charles Williamson Barfoot and Benjamin Edward Schoettker. Will and Ben attended law school together at Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. During law school, both took positions at Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. where they gained valuable experience in the area of civil litigation. Upon passing the Alabama State Bar Will remained at Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., while, Ben took a position as a Assistant Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2004, Will and Ben decided to partner together and established the law firm of Barfoot & Schoettker, L.L.C.
Charles Williamson Barfoot

Charles Williamson “Will” Barfoot has lived in Montgomery all of his life. He attended Auburn University Montgomery where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies in 1995. Will then went onto law school at Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2001. Upon passing the bar exam, he became employed at Beasley, Allen. Crow, Methvin. Portis & Miles, P.C, and later started his own firm as a solo practitioner. In 2004, Will and Ben together founded Barfoot and Schoettker, L.L.C., where Will represents clients involved in civil litigation, probate matters, criminal cases and juvenile proceedings. In 2005 Will served as a temporary Judge of Probate for Montgomery County. In 2006 Will was a candidate for Alabama Senate for Alabama’s 25th District. Will is on the Montgomery County Republican Executive Committee and is active in the Republican party, serving as a delegate for Gov. Mike Huckabee at the 2008 National Republican Party Convention. Will also served as Alabama counsel for Gov. Mike Huckabee during the 2008 Republican Presidential Primary. Will is also Vice President of the Board for Capitol Heights Place and on the City of Montgomery Board of Adjustments. Will is married to Kathy Barfoot and they have five children- Erica, Reagan, Bankston, Ellie and Jeb. Will and his family are members of Capitol Heights Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon.
Benjamin Edward Schoettker

Benjamin Edward Schoettker was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. He obtained his degree in Business Management from the Rinker School of Business at Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ben then went on to attend Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctor in 2001. During law school, he served two terms on Jones Law Review and was employed with the firm of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis, & Miles, P.C. Upon admission to the Alabama State Bar, he accepted a position as a Assistant Deputy District Attorney in Montgomery County. In 2004, Ben became a founding member of Barfoot & Schoettker, L.L.C, and practices in both civil and criminal litigation. His civil practice focuses on Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, and Fraud, while in his criminal field he represents clients charged with both felony and misdemeanor offenses, in Federal and State court. In 2007 Ben served as temporary Probate Judge in Montgomery County. Ben is currently on the board of directors with both the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Montgomery County Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and serves on its Legislative Committee. Ben is married to the former Kimberly McWhorter and a proud father of their four year old daughter Neva Marie and three year old son Samuel Benjamin. He and his family are members of Christ Community Church and serve in the children's ministry.
